Joy Camp

Myra “Joy” Joyce Camp, 88, of Ringgold went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at her home. She was born on March 12, 1937 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Charlie and Ollie Young. Mrs. Camp had been a life-long resident of the North Georgia area and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Joy retired from North Georgia Bank after 40 years of service. She enjoyed loving the grandchildren, cooking and travelling on the senior trips.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Wendell Camp.

Survivors include her sons, Chuck Camp, Scott Camp and Darryl (Vivian) Camp; brothers, Norman (Joy) Young and Doyle (Joann) Young; grandchildren, Cassie (Jared) Cloos and Chase Camp; step-grandchildren, Amy English and Tyler (Rachel) Blackwell and great-grandchildren, Cade Eiler and Haddon Eiler and 10 Step-Great Grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Terry Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Friday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
